14 Oct 2017

Reading Day was celebrated in anticipation as 15 October 2017 fell on Sunday. Nevertheless it was a day of immense learning. A short assembly highlighted the importance of reading. We had glimpses of the life of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam and reflected over how his unmatched thirst for learning, his unparalleled humility and his passion to transform helped him overcome obstacles and rise to become India's top scientist and later President of India. The students of S.Y.B.Ed then reviewed many books written by Dr Kalam. Each book is a gem that radiates the brilliance of his thoughts and intellect. The audience was enlightened by Dr Kalam's thoughts and many lined to the library to borrow a book and get further enriched. Truly, books become permanent companions. Sometimes, they are born before us; they guide us during our life journey and continue for many generations.
